RE: Minnesota Premium Cancellation Endorsement

The Minnesota Department of Commerce has approved to be effective for new and renewal policies on or after July 1, 1997, the amending of the Minnesota Premium Cancellation Endorsement due to recent changes in the law.

Minnesota Statute 60A.36 Subd. 1 (6) was amended to provide the Department of Commerce with 30 days to respond to appeals regarding cancellations due to loss of reinsurance. Previously this stature provided the Department with only 5 days to respond.

Attached is a copy of the new Minnesota Premium Cancellation Endorsement.
