RE: Insurance Bureau Bulletin Board Service Network -- IBBSnet ™

The Minnesota Workers' Compensation Insurers Association is pleased to announce a new data service which takes advantage of the IBBSnet -- Insurance Bureau Bulletin Board Service Network. This service provides association insurer members with an affordable means of retrieving and submitting data to the association and can be accessed via a PC or 3270 type terminal.

The Bulletin Board Services provides electronic access to authorized workers' compensation information supplied be the MWCIA. The MWCIA will initially contain an association contact list and File Transfer Facility (FTF). The file transfer facility will be available for all association member insurers. The FTF provides for the electronic transmission of Policy (WCPOLS) and statistical (WCSTAT) data to the MWCIA.

Besides the MWCIA, this service is also currently available in New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Delaware, and Massachusetts via the IBM Global Network.
