ASSIGNED RISK DEPOPULATION SEARCH
Allows the user to search for Assigned Risk Depopulation information. The user may select a month from the drop down menu and view the entire report for that month. To narrow the search, the user may also select a class code, zip code and/or premium amount.
ASSIGNED RISK DEPOPULATION DOWNLOAD
Allows the user to download Assigned Risk Depopulation information. The user may click on a month to download or an entire year may be downloaded. The user must install WinZip before downloading any files. To download WinZip for free, click on the WinZip icon located on the A/R Depop Download page. For help installing WinZip, click Here.
Allows the user to search for Assigned Risk Rates by entering a 4-digit class code. After entering the class code, the system will display a description of the code, status valid/invalid, hazard code, industry group and the Assigned Risk rate and minimum premium.
Allows the user to search the rates of the class codes most often used by the top licensed carriers offering workers compensation in Minnesota. The user may search by carrier name or ID, class code, carrier name and class code or carrier ID and class code. Please note: not all of the class codes are listed.
CLASS CODE SEARCH (MN CLASSIFICATION INDEX)
Allows the user to search for class codes by entering a job/product description or title. The user may search by "Starts With" - this search will present a list of Group Headings that begin with the search criteria entered. The user may also search by "Contains" - this search will present a list of Group Headings which contains the search criteria entered. Another way to search is by clicking on a letter of the alphabet listed on the table -this search will enable the user to search for all Group Headings that begin with that letter. The user may also click on the class code to obtain the Assigned Risk rate for that code.
EXPERIENCE MODIFICATION HISTORY
Allows the user to view a Minnesota employers experience modification history. The user may search by employer name or by the employers Association File Number (AFN). When searching by name, be sure to type the entire name of the business or sole proprietor. When searching by AFN, be sure to add leading zeros to expand the file number to nine digits.
EXPERIENCE MODIFICATION WORKSHEET
Allows the user to view a Minnesota employers experience modification worksheet. The user may search by employer name or by the employers Association File Number (AFN). When searching by name, be sure to type the entire name of the business or sole proprietor. When searching by AFN, be sure to add leading zeros to expand the file number to nine digits. When the employer has been located, click on the file number link. To view a worksheet, click on the effective date link corresponding to the worksheet.
If you have forgotten your password, you may enter either your Username or MWCIA Subscriber account number in the box and click "Submit". MWCIA will send your password, via e-mail, to the e-mail address you submitted on your Subscriber application.

MINNESOTA CONTRACTORS PREMIUM ADJUSTMENT PROGRAM (MCPAP)
The Minnesota Contractors Premium Adjustment Program (MCPAP) provides a premium credit to employers who have at least one contracting code on their workers compensation policy. The employer will be eligible for a credit if they meet or exceed the average hourly wage criteria, in a contracting code, for that particular year.
On or about January 15th of each year, MWCIA sends out applications to employers who had payroll in a contracting code during the previous calendar year. The employer submits their class codes, payroll and hours worked data to MWCIA. Applications will be accepted until April 1st. Applications received after April 1st will be subject to a two-point (.02) late penalty adjustment in their credit. MWCIA will calculate a credit based on the code, payroll and hour data submitted by the employer.
The Annual Minnesota Ratemaking Report displays the development of the prospective years advisory pure premium base rates for workers compensation insurance using Minnesota experience. It is prepared in compliance with Minnesota Statutes 79.61 and related regulations, and is published each year in September in two volumes.
VOLUME ONE
Volume One contains the workers compensation average indicated pure premium
base rate schedule by class, calculations used to produce the schedule, alternate
actuarial calculations available to amend or complement the rates and technical
documentation. Volume One also contains an Executive Summary which provides
a review of the overall change in the level of pure premium base rates and a
discussion of additional items that relate to carriers understanding the possible
uses of the report.
VOLUME TWO
Volume Two includes unmodified Unit Statistical Plan data (Schedule Z) providing class experience including exposures, premiums, indemnity and medical losses, and claim counts with injury type detail. Experience data is furnished for the five latest available policy periods for all class codes. Also included are complete pure premium calculation exhibits. These exhibits provide experience by class including payroll, indemnity losses, and medical losses, as well as the credibilities and intermediate pure premium values used in deriving the formula pure premiums.MINNESOTA PURE PREMIUM BASE RATES
Pure premium base rates, or loss costs, are derived from loss experience information and the most recent statutory benefit change. Pure premium base rates do not contain provisions for loss development beyond an eighth report, trend, taxes and assessments, loss adjustment expense or other company operating expenses. MINNESOTA STATISTICAL PLAN MANUAL
This plan contains the necessary instructions for the reporting of experience on the direct business for workers compensation, voluntary and assigned risk, and employers liability insurance in Minnesota. These instructions apply to all policies and contracts of coverage except for coal mining policies.
This plan also contains instructions for the filing of statistics under self-insured contracts as required by Minnesota Statute 79A.32, Subd. 1.
HOW TO INSTALL
The user will locate the WinZip file that was downloaded and double-click on
it to begin the installation process. Click Setup on the first screen
and then enter a location for the installation and click OK. Then
click Next on the WinZip screen and view and accept the license
agreement. View the WinZip Quick Start Guide if desired or click Next.
Select the WinZip Classic interface and click Next after your decision.
Accept the Express setup option and click Next. To end the installation
process click Finish.
AFTER INSTALLING
To open the Depop.zip file, locate the file and double-click it. WinZip will
start and the contents of the WinZip archive will be seen (if using an evaluation
version of WinZip, the user may be prompted to accept the license agreement
before the program will open). Once the archive is open, there will be one file
with a .csv extension. There are two options for opening the .csv file: double-click
on it to open it or highlight it and click Extract and select a
location to place the extracted file. If the user extracts the file, it will
need to be located and then double-click on it. The file will most likely open
with Microsoft Excel.
