Fund Assessment
This circular advises of the Department of Labor and Industry's announcement of a
rate increase for the Special Compensation Fund (SCF)Assessment. The rate will increase
from 28% to 30%. The SCF assessment pays for the administrative costs of the
workers' compensation system, Supplemental Benefits reimbursement, Second Injury Benefit
reimbursements, and uninsured employers claims. |

This circular advises of the approval of NCCI Item E-1339 which modifies the
Revised Experience Rating Plan to substantially decrease the incentive for employers to
pay their own claims. It includes the following 3 changes: 1.) reduces the
weight on medical only losses, 2.) increases the weight on excess losses, and 3.) adjusts
