Annual Meeting

The 1997 Annual Meeting of the Minnesota Worker’s Compensation Insurers Association, Inc. was called to order at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, February 25, 1997 at the Radisson South Hotel, 7800 Normandale Blvd., Minneapolis, Minnesota. An election was held to fill the regular four-year terms of St. Paul Companies and Liberty Mutual Insurance Company, whose terms had expired. Both companies, and their respective representatives, were re-elected to serve another term on the Board of Directors.

The members of the Board of Directors as of December 31, 1997, were:

    Ms. Patricia Johnson, State Fund Mutual Insurance Company

One Public Member position was vacant as of December 31, 1997.

The Board of Directors held four meetings in 1997. At these meetings, the subjects discussed included budget, audit, personnel, and pension. During the year, the Board of Directors reviewed and adopted amendments to the Association’s data service organization license. All adopted amendments were filed for approval with the Commerce Department. The Board of Directors also reviewed the Association’s Test Audit Program, the status of the Insolvent Fund Account, and the Assigned Risk Trust Fund.
