The 1996 Annual Meeting of
the Minnesota Workers' Compensation Insurers
Association, Inc. was called to order at 10:00
am, Tuesday, February 25, 1996 at the Radisson
South Hotel, 7800 Normandale Blvd., Minneapolis,
Minnesota. An election was held to fill the
regular four-year terms of Lumberman's
Underwriting Alliance and Chubb & Son, Inc.,
whose terms had expired. TIG Insurance was
elected to replace Chubb & Son, Inc., and
Lumberman's Underwriting Alliance was re-elected
to another term on the Board of Directors.
The Board of Directors held four meetings in
1996. At these meetings, the subjects discussed
included budget, audit, personnel, and pension.
During the year, the Board of Directors reviewed
and adopted amendments to the Association's data
service organization license. All adopted
amendments were filed for approval with the
Commerce Department. The Board of Directors also
reviewed the Association's Test Audit Program,
the status of the Insolvent Fund Account, and the
Assigned Risk Trust Fund.
